How to make the coffee scrub

coffee-scrubCoffee is an endless topic, since the use of this product is extensive – cosmetics, perfumery, decoration, art, household, not to mention its intended purpose – the magnificent drink!

We have already mentioned the subject of cosmetics, or rather body scrubs using the ground coffee. Let us consider it in more detail, and remember a few recipes. Peeling with coffee as skin care product is pretty popular among women nowadays. Coffee scrubs are universally recognized, first of all, for its multi-function action, availability, as well as the parallel aromatherapy during the procedure of peeling by the coffee grounds. It is important to understand that such scrubs act not only because of their consistency. The main active ingredient here is caffeine – this compound actively fights the fatty deposits, edema and skin aging.


Coffee scrub for face. Such scrub-mask of coffee grounds is recommended for people with very dry skin. This remedy has nourishing and moisturizing effects. For its preparation: mix 1 teaspoon of coffee grounds, 1 teaspoon of sour cream and 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil; slightly warm the ingredients on a water bath to the temperature comfortable for your face; then add 1 teaspoon of honey, mix and apply on the skin. You should keep the mask for 10-15 minutes, then wash off by warm water.


Coffee scrub-mask with clay for face. This coffee scrub deeply cleanses the clogged pores, removes greasy luster and has a nourishing effect for your skin. It is recommended to use it for oily and normal skin. For its preparation: mix 1 teaspoon of coffee grounds and 1 teaspoon of any cosmetic clay: dilute the mixture with warm water to get the consistency of thick cream. You should apply the mask on face and neck for 15-20 minutes, then wash off by warm water. By the way, if you dilute the mixture with warm milk or cream, you can use the scrub for the withered skin, in order to impart firmness and elasticity.


Coffee scrub with sea salt for the body. This remedy not only takes care of the skin, but also has an excellent anti-cellulite effect. The point is that sea salt removes fluid from the cells, thereby destroying the hated orange peel; and coffee, in its turn, makes the skin taut and toned. For its preparation: mix 2 tablespoons of ground coffee and 2 tablespoons of sea salt; add a few drops of citrus essential oil and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Apply the coffee scrub on the body by massage movements, especially in the problematic areas. Then take a shower. You can also make the wrapping procedure with this scrub (for 30-40 minutes) by wrapping the treated area of the body by the usual food wrap. This will greatly increase effect.


Coffee scrub for the scalp. This scrub is beneficial for enhancing the blood circulation of the scalp, thereby it helps to improve the nutrition of bulbs, activates hair growth, and even prevents dandruff. For its preparation: mix 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds, 1 tablespoon of liquid honey, egg yolk of one egg and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply the product on the scalp; cover your head with polyethylene and a towel. It is recommended to hold the mask up to 40 minutes, then wash your head thoroughly. You should make the procedure 1 time per week. It is important to remember that coffee tints hair a little, so the blondes need to be careful.


A few recommendations:

It is advisable to use a coffee facial scrub 1-2 times a week, and for the body – 2-3 times a week.

If you have dry or normal skin, use a scrub of coffee grounds, if you have oily skin, finely ground coffee will suit you more.

If you use a scrub of coffee as an anti-cellulite means, it is recommended to apply it on the steamed out skin. Therefore, before the procedure, take a hot shower; but for better slimming effect, apply the scrub by the massage sponge. Then you should take the anti-cellulite bath with essential oils.
